Supported Devices
| Device Type |
|---|
| Fluvius Digital Meter (Standard P1) |
| Fluvius Industrial (A1 Port) |
By default, the User Port (P1) on the digital meter is closed. The ControllerDemoName cannot detect the meter if the port is not active.
- Log in to mijn.fluvius.be.
- Go to Producten & Diensten > Verbruik > Beheer poorten.
- Enable the P1 port.
- Check the display on the meter: A small triangle arrow (▼) must be visible above the text "P1". If this arrow is missing, the port is dead.
Connection
1. Wiring
Connect the Digital Meter to the ControllerDemoName using a P1 Cable (USB to RJ12).
- Locate the yellow rubber cover labeled P1 on the right side of the meter.
- Plug the RJ12 connector into the P1 port.
- Plug the USB connector into the ControllerDemoName.
Do not use the S1 port (often an RJ45 port on top). This is for the grid operator only. You must use the P1 user port on the side.
Configuration
Standard Meter (Most Common)
For standard residential and small business connections (direct measurement):
- Navigate to the Settings page on the ControllerDemoName.
- Click on Scan for devices.
- The system will automatically detect the meter protocol (DSMR 5 or older DSMR 2.2).
- Add the device labeled "Digital Smart Meter".
Industrial Meter (A1 Port)
Only for installations using the A1 port (typically high voltage/current with transformers):
When adding an A1 device, the system will ask for Scale Factors. You must match these to the installation's transformers (CT/PT ratios) to get correct readings.
- Voltage Scale Factor: The ratio of the voltage transformer. (Default: 1.0)
- Current Scale Factor: The ratio of the current transformer. (Default: 1.0)
Example: If you have a 100A/5A Current Transformer, your Current Scale Factor is 20.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause & Solution |
|---|---|
| Meter not found | P1 Port inactive: Check the Fluvius portal. Is the arrow (▼) visible above "P1" on the LCD display? |
| Meter not found | Wrong Port: Ensure the cable is in the P1 port (RJ12), not the S1 port. |
| Meter not found | Cable issue: Use a verified P1 cable. Standard telephone cables often do not work because the signal lines are inverted. |
| No Voltage displayed | Some older meters (DSMR 2.2) or specific brands (Landis+Gyr) do not send voltage data. This is a limitation of the meter itself, not the controller. |
| Wrong Power Values (A1) | If values are too low/high on an A1 meter, check the Scale Factors in the device settings. You may have entered 1 instead of the transformer ratio. |
